Katherine, then his wife, daughter of Thomas Fitz Nicholl, chevalier, she was still living. Nicholas their son, Thomas, their son, Maurice, their son, Blanche, Isabel, and Joan, their daughters.
He died on 15 June 1439. Nicholas Poyntz was his son and next heir, and aged 40 and more.

Robert was the son of John Poyntz and Elizabeth de Clanvowe. He married first Ann (family unknown). He married secondly Katherine FitzNichol, the daughter of Thomas FitzNichol. Robert Esq. was Lord of Iron Acton, Winston, Elkstone and Acton Ulgar, Gloucester, and (in right of his wife) Lord of Hull alias Hill and Nympsfield, Gloucester. He was escheator of Gloucester in 1395, 1399, 1402, 1415 and sherrif of the county in 1396. Robert held the office of Seriff of Gloucestershire in 1397.
