Robert Muir Ramage

John invited Margaret Ferrie from Ayrshire, Scotland about 1847. They met in Chicago and lived in Bloomington. They had several sons and two daughters reach adulthood. Ida Mae and Flora Rae. Matthew arrived about 1848 and joined an Illinois Regiment about 1865; he did not fight. My grandfather Robert was the youngest child. When David died, Matthew told Robert to quit college. Robert ended up in Milwaukee and married Edna. He worked at Bucyrus Erie from 1909 to 1957 beyond retirement age.

The Muir Family came from Scotland and stayed with David until they removed to Janesville, Wisconsin
