Westerly (Washington) Rhode Island, and died August 27, 1839 in Cortland

have found nothing to substantiate this information.

Notes for WILLIAM RANDALL:
William and Roswell Randall first sold merchandise together in Madison County,
New York, but ca 1812 moved to Cortland Village where they continued their
business. After a number of years of success, they dissolved their partnership,
and William built a store which is now the Randall Bank and Roswell built the
Eagle Store and also continued to cultivate his farm. William was a valued

General Roswell Randall received a good education and read law in the office of
Stephen O. Runyam, of Oxford. and soon after his marriage to Harriet Stephens,
he gave up the practice of law to engage in mercantile business with his
brother.
William and Roswell Randall first sold merchandise together in Madison County,
New York, but ca 1812 moved to Cortland Village where they continued their
business. After a number of years of success, they dissolved their partnership,
and William built a store which is now the Randall Bank and Roswell built the
Eagle Store and also continued to cultivate his farm. Rosewell was an early
Postmaster of Cortland Village and eventually attained the military rank of
