Robert was born about 1749-1750 and died about 1815. He was married three times.
First married to Martha McTeer Shaw 12 October 1776 in South Carolina. Martha died about 1784.
Secondly he married Joanna Garner (1750-1800) about 1782 in South Carolina. From this union they had the following children: Sarah Hanson (1785-1822); Robert Raymond (1789-1841); Mary (b.1800).
Robert thirdly married Nancy Ann Peeples (1784-1865) about 1802 and from this union had the following children: Thomas Jefferson (1802-1895); John Edward Hanson (1804-1848).
NOTE: according to email from Priscilla Elledge recvd. 04 August 2016, Robert Raymond Reid (1749-1815) and Nancy Ann Peeples (1784-1865) had a daughter, Ann Madison Reid (1807-1861).
