Brief overview:
Robin (75), a geologist and well-known birding safari tour owner from KwaZulu-Natal was shot dead in Bryanston on 2nd January 2008. He and his wife Bella, who lived in Underberg, were having dinner at their brother-in-laws house, when two armed males invaded the outside verandah area. Robin was shot and died instantly.
Police spokesperson Captain Bhekizizwe Mavundla said the two men, one armed with a handgun, entered the property by jumping the fence, approached the family and "without saying a word" shot Guy in the upper body.
The wives were in the kitchen and the shooter and his accomplices grabbed the house keys and a handbag and fled.
