Robert WELLS was born c1762 London, UK

Robert was convicted of larceny (with William HOW, John GILES and Joseph INKINS) and sentenced to 7 years transportation. He arrived in Sydney Cove on 20/8/1791 on "Atlantic"

Robert married Susannah NAIRN on 20/1/1793 at Parramatta and they had the following children

• Esther 1796
• James (died age 8)
• Mary Ann
• Elizabeth

After Susannah died 25/3/1814, Robert married Sarah LONGHURST on 6/6/1814 at Parramatta and they had the following children

• Sarah 1816
• Thomas 1820
• Robert 1823
• Joseph 1827 (some trees suggest that Sarah LAWSON is Joseph's mother)

After Sarah died 24/9/1929, Robert had a relationship with Sarah LAWSON

• Sarah

Robert died 22/9/1845 at Parramatta and was buried on 23/9/1845 at Parramatta

Robert WELLS was indicted October for stealing four pieces of flannel, commonly called Long Ells, value six pounds. He and three accomplices were tried at Middlesex. All four were sentenced to 7 years transportation. Married convict Susannah Narin Riley 20 January 1793. When Susannah died he married convict Sarah Longurst.
