Farmer. Estate called Quarry Bank then Piedmont after it was sold. It was the first stone house in that part of Virginia built in 1734.

He was instrumental in the building of the Norborne Church also called St. George's Chapel, an Anglican Church which was built c. 1770. The ruins are near Charles Town, W. VA.

Robert is buried in the cemetery of St. George's Chapel.

Father of Mary Worthington who married Edward Tiffin, first Governor of Ohio

Father of Thomas Worthington, First US Senator from Ohio and sixth Governor of Ohio. He is buried in Grandview Cemetery, Chillicothe, Ohio.
