About Rolf Statiusen Strømsted
1920 Census Ralph Strom (49) and wife Amelia (50) ; he is a rigger and contractor, she is a cleaner in a private home. Live 154 Butter Street. No sign of their kids here.
Ralph dies December 1926 so it is curious how in 1930 and 1940 Census Ralph is still listed as head of house - I suspect that twin brother Thoralf (AKA Thomas) is standing in for Ralph (at least for the Census people!):
1930 US Census AKA Ralph Strom, Brooklyn NY in King's County, at 154 Butter Street. He is now 59, his wife Emilia is 61 and they live with their sons John (age 22), Joseph (age 29) and daughter Alice (17). Ralph still works at shipyard, and his children are all clerks (candy, Grocer, Butcher)
1940 US Census, Ralph (now 70) and Emilia AKA Emily (now 73) both live in Brooklyn NY, at 333 Warren Street. Notes that highest grade school education both received was 4 years!
Emelia dies September 5, 1944. No record found of Thomas death.
Ralph and Emilie are both buried in The Evergreens Cemetery in Brooklyn New York in the "Siloam" section. Apparently a Jius Christiansen is likewise buried in this same space, buried Feb 10, 1927.
