Roma, who never married became a nurse which was to be a life-long career. She lived much of her adult life withe her neice, Marjorie Sharp and her family, before emigrating to Canada in 1970, where she lived with her nephew, Malcolm Lindsay. Following his death in 1973 Roma returned to her native Isle of Wight and died there in 1986. At that time there were 5 generations of her family living on The Island,. Roma being the oldest surviving member and her 4 x Great-Nephew, Matthew Green, the youngest.
