Roman was a buyer and wholesaler of building materials. He was also involved in social and independence works. For many years he held the municipal councilor's mandate, and in 1934 he was elected the deputy mayor of Chojnice. He was also a board member of the Association of Independent Merchants in this city, a counselor of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Gdynia, a member of a number of social and cultural organizations. He was also active in the Polish West Union. He was the guardian of the Chojnice hospital. In the interwar period, he lived in Chojnice. In the parliamentary election in 1935, he was elected a deputy for the Sejm of the 4th term (1935-1938) and 31,212 votes from the district no. 103, including the following poviats: Chojnice, Sępoleński, Tucholski, Świecie, Starogardzki and Tczew. W wyborach parlamentarnych w 1935 roku został wybrany posłem na Sejm IV kadencji (1935-1938) 31 212 głosami z okręgu nr 103, obejmującego powiaty: chojnicki, sępoleński, tucholski, świecki, starogardzki i tczewski. W październiku 1939 roku został aresztowany przez miejscowy Selbstschutz, a następnie rozstrzelany na polach gospodarza Daleckiego, zamieszkałego w Chojnicach przy ulicy Strzeleckiej.
