In an interview with Laura C. Katz on November 7, 1999, Barbara Levenson, wife of Rose's nephew Bernard (Barney) said that Rose was the most educated and most beautiful of the Dann sisters, as well as "rather eccentric." Barbara also said that Rose spent the last 10 years of her life at a nursing home in the Bronx, living well into her 90s. Roslyn Hoffman, Rose's niece (interview with Laura C. Katz on January 22, 2000) said that Rose was secretary to Carleton Fredericks. She was very health oriented. "She was always dieting and fasting and very outspoken," Roslyn said. The family called her "The Razor" because her remarks were often very cutting.
