Rose Ann Lucy Scholes (Manuel)

Rose Ann Lucy Manuel aka Lucy was born in Uralla, NSW, Australia in 1881 to James & Elizabeth nee Smith. Rose's mother was her father's first wife. Rose married Edwin Scholes (b 1877 - 1947) in Uralla, 1898 and they had 10 children, they are as follows:

1. Edwin Cecil born 4th Mary 1899, Uralla. Married in Tamworth 1923, Marjorie Brines. They had 3 children: James, Ronald and Noelene.

2. Ruby Gladys born 19th August, 1900, Tamworth. Married in Tamworth, 1925, Victor Hyson and they had 5 children: Lucy, Ivy, Betty, Verlie and Ray.

3. Clara born May, 1903 in Tamworth. Married in Tamworth, 1930, John Turner and they had 2 children: Maxwell and Rex.

4. Doris born Juoy, 1904 in Tamworth. Married in Manilla, 1927, R. Stengert and had 3 children: Lily, Ernest and Marie.

5. Eva born 1st February, 1906 in Tamworth. Married in Tamworth 1926, Edmond Hobden (b 28th July) and they had 3 children: Cecil, Donald and Viola.

6. Cyril born July, 1907 in Tamworth. Married in Manilla, 1934, Mona Easterman

7. Elizabeth aka Bessie bron March, 1909 in Tamworth. Mrried 1927, James Lawson, they had 2 children: Robert and Heather.
