Roy Murley (1942 - 2002)

Brief overview:

Roy (60), was shot dead by two armed attackers on 19th July 2002. He and his wife Malie, were locking up their farm grocery shop on their Kocksrus smallholding, when they were attacked.

Malie said: "Just then, two men arrived. They didn't say anything; they simply started shooting. I have never seen such a violent expression. I will never forget it. I could see the hate in the attacker's eyes. Why do they hate us this much?" Malie said neighbour Stefan Greyling heard the shots and rushed over to help. His shouting probably scared off the attackers -- as they fled when he arrived on the scene.
