About Rudolph Henry Sonnekus
Rudolph "Sonny" Sonnekus
Brief overview:
Sonny (89), who worked at the former SA Criminal Buro, was murdered on Tuesday morning 13th November at his house in Lyttelton Manor, Centurion, where he lived alone.
Police director André Wiese said he had presumably been strangled.
Sonnekus's sister had suspected something was wrong when she could not reach him. She called his neighbour who then found Sonnekus on the kitchen floor, with his sausage dog next to him.
Police said it was not known how many suspects had attacked Sonnekus and initial investigations showed that little had been taken.
