Richard is not to be confused with Richard Denton, Jr.. Richard Denton d. 26 Dec. 1658 in Dorchester, only a year after the wedding (Reg. 16:80). His estate inventory, filed 6 Oct. 1659 by Abraham How and John Minotte, totaled £57-5s., all left to his widow (Reg. 9:347).]. There were no known children.

On 13 Oct 1663 Timothy Foster first married Ruth Tileston, daughter of Thomas Tileston (-24 Jun 1694) & Elizabeth [Tileston], in Dorchester, MA.40 Born in 1641. Ruth died on 5 Dec 1677.40 Ruth, widow of Richard Denton (or Dunton).

Thomas Tileston, grantee of land 1634, and often afterwards; freeman 1636; died June 24, 1694, aged 83. He appears to have been an enterprising and useful man. His wife was Elizabeth. His children were-Timothy, born 1636; Onisephorus, born 1651; Cornelius, who died 20 (5) 1659; Elizabeth, born 1639; Naomi; Ruth; Bathsheba, born 1649. Elizabeth died unmarried; Naomi probably died young; Ruth married, when she was quite young, Richard Denton. He lived but a short time; then she married Timothy Foster, who came from Scituate.
