Ruth E Norman

Ruth Norman 91 formerly of Beavertown died at 5 am Friday May 2,1997 at Penn Lutheran Village,where she lived for 14 months. She was born Dec 24,1905 in Beavertown a daughter of the late George H and Mary Lydia (Wetzel) Freed.in 1933 she married George F Norman who died Nov 30,1963. She was a 1921 graduate of Beavertown High School,a 1922 Graduate of Middleburg High School,and a 1923 graduate of Selingsgrove High School.Mrs Norman was employed as a cleck by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation from 1953 to 1965.She was a charter member of the Beavertown Home and School Club and the Rescue Hose Company.Mrs Norman was a life member St Paul's United Church of Christ,Beavertown.Surviving are two sons Joe F and Robert P both of Bevertown,and four grandchildren.She was proceded in death by one brother Paul W Freed in 1966. The funeral will be conducted at 11 am Monday at St Paul's United Church of Christ,Beavertown by the Rev Edward Henry,Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Vistors may call from 4 to 9 pm Sunday at the Aurand Funeral Home Inc, West Market Street Beavertown, where the family will be present from 7 to 9 pm. Vistors may also call from 10 am until the time of the service Monday at the church.
