Rcth Basset; she and her sister Lydia, who m. his brother Daniel, were daughters of Joseph Basset, son of the fiist comer, William, who came over in ihe Fortune in 1621, lived at Dnxbury, Mass., in 1637, and was representative from 1640 to 1644 inclusive; in 1652, with Gov. Bradford and others, he joined in the purchase of Dartmouth, and removed to Bridge water, and d. there in 1667. Issue, i. John, of Leicester; b. Sept. 12, 1694; ii. Jeremiah.* [See III.] iii.
