About SGT Frankie Doyebi

Frankie Doyebi, 66, passed away on Saturday, August 24th, 2013, in Lawton, OK. He was born on April 4, 1947 in Lawton, Ok to Hugh Andele and Frances Harriet (Williams) Doyebi. He married Vela Charolett Ross in 1964 at Rock Springs Church, north of Anadarko, OK. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp. during the Viet Nam Era. During his time in the Marines he was stationed at 29 Palms, CA, Paris Island, Iwakuna, Japan, Cherry Point, NC. He attained the rank of E-6 Staff Sgt and was a cross Country Chaser, Brigadiere Guard and a helicopter repairman.
He was a member of the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma and a member of the Kiowa Gourd Clan. The past several years he had made his home at the Veterans Retirement Center in Lawton, OK.
