Brief Life History of Salome Knobel (Marti)
When Salome Marti was born on 29 November 1823, in Matt, Glarus, Switzerland, her father, Matheus Marti, was 28, and her mother, Saloma Bram, was 29. She married David Knobel on 19 October 1852, in Alt St. Johann, Sankt Gallen, Switzerland. They were the parents of at least 7 sons and 1 daughter. She lived in Rygge, Østfold, Norway for about 10 years. She died on 16 February 1903, in Minneapolis, Hennepin, Minnesota, United States, at the age of 79, and was buried in Minneapolis, Hennepin, Minnesota, United States.
