About Salustiana Medina Lasanta

Salustiana was called "Ana" by everyone and "Nana" by her grandkids. She was a very nice looking woman who sewed beautifully and well. She could see a designer outfit and sew it exactly as it was pictured. So you can imagine that she dressed well and always looked chic and well groomed. She was the first to move down to Florida and her family soon followed where they established themselves and most of them are still here...that is the second, third and forthcoming generations. She was notorious for baking a terrific lasagna and always (or mostly always) prepared one when the family got together. She was endeared by her family and friends and left a legacy of family togetherness to her family. She is missed! Her daughter-in-law, Lydia Benitez Castilllo
