Background Information


Samuel Bard was born in 1898 in Sędziszów, Poland to Israel Harris Bard and Sarah Bard. Although his parents decided to stay in Poland, he and his brothers all emigrated from Poland to New York. In some of his first years in the United States he met Mamie Bard: the woman with whom he would start a family.

Death and Legacy


Samuel Bard died on May 1st, 1953 at the age of 55. He was survived by his wife, Mamie Bard, his four children, and his three brothers. He is buried at Mount Ararat Cemetery in Lindenhurst, New York alongside his wife, children, and numerous relatives.
