Samuel II was born 12 Feb, 1696 in Blandensburg, Prince George's, Maryland to parents Samuel Brashears and Ann Jones. Samuel II married 17 Dec 1717 Elizabeth Brashears in Blandensburg, Prince George Co, MD. <ref>U.S. and International Marriage Records, 1560-1900</ref> They were double first cousins, Elizabeth was daughter of Benjamin & Mary (Jones). (Benjamin was the brotherof Samuel I.) Samuel II's mother, Ann (Jones) Brashears was the sister of Elizabeth's mother Mary (Jones) Brashears. <ref>Settlers of Maryland, 1679-1783. Consolidated Edition</ref> Their children were: Samuel (1718-1794), Mary (1720-1774), Joseph (1721-1778, John (1722-) Morris (1723-1725), Richard (1724-), Benjamin (1727-1809), Ann (1729-1816), Jeremiah (1731-1785), Ignatius Nacy (1734-1807), Otho (1735-1792), Turner (1736-1772),, Elizabeth (1737-1782), Ruth (1738-1782), Elizabeth (1740-1741). Sons of American Revolution #89676 list the American Revolution service of grandson of Samuel and Elizabeth (son of Benjamin), Tobias was Captain in Virginia (Pennsylvania) Troops.
