Both Isaac le Roux, Seigneur de Pompegorge & Jeanne Bourdon die in 1672, leaving 6yr old
Ysaac Le Roux, 5yr old Magdeleine le Roux, 4yr old Jeanne le Roux, & 5 day old, Jacques le Roux as orphans.

Their maternal grandmother, Magdeleine Louat (widow of Estienne Bourdon).
Claude le Roux, their paternal uncle; and Bernard Foucher, merchant in La Bruslee (and father of Philippe Foucher, SV/PROG) were their tutors.

[Bernard's connection was through his marriage to Anne Bruère. Anne's grandmother, Estiennette Mallingre, the widow of Urie Bruere, had remarried Richard le Roux, and Isaac le Roux, Seigneur de Pompegorge was from this union.]

When Bernard Foucher dies in Jan 1674, Samuel Desfontaines, merchsant in Mer, became tutor and guardian. Married to Marthe Bourdon, the sister of their mother, he was their Uncle. In 1685 - when only Ysaac and and Magdeleine where left alive, Samuel sold Pommegorge, its chapel, some lands and vineyards to Estienne Gibony for 800 pounds, maintaining he couldn't pay for it's repair and upkeep. In 1685, Estienne had only psaid 400 pounds when he was told to pay the rest to the crown.

"Isaac Le Roux, (son of the deceased Isaac Le Roux and Jeanne Bourdon) had taken refuge in England. On 29 January 1699, in the French church of Threadneedle Street in London, he became the godfather of Elizabeth Foucher. (H.S.Q.S. vol.XVI: 180). The parents of the child were David Foucher, son of Bernard Foucher, the 1st tutor of Isaac, and Marthe Desfontaines, daughter of Samuel Desfontaines, his second tutor.."
