About Samuel IV Fuller, Jr., of Rehoboth
NOTE: Do not confuse with Samuel Fuller, Jr., of Attleboro . This Samuel Fuller did not marry Alithea Ingalls. Children do NOT include Samuel D Fuller.
Samuel Fuller was born into a Rehoboth, Bristol County, Massachusetts family with many brothers and sisters. He left few records behind, and may never have married. But he apparently participated in the Revolutionary War. A Samuel Fuller, Jr., of Rehoboth, was involved in the Revolutionary War on April 19, 1776, for a period of 11 days. No birthdate is given.
More evidence of Revolutionary War participation is this Revolutionary War grave abstract, which states that a Samuel Fuller was buried in as a Rev War patriot in Halifax MA. The American Genealogical Index says Samuel b. 1740 had the rank of Captain, but it is hard to be sure it's the right Samuel. There was a Samuel Fuller who died in nearby Plympton, so it becomes a challenge to figure out who is who. It may even be that the Samuel Fuller who was born in Plymouth did not die in Plympton, and that it was Samuel of Rehoboth who died there.
