Samuel Jewell

SAMUEL JEWELL (b. 1687/8) Samuel Jewell, son of Thomas and Susanna (Guilford) Jewell, was born 19 Feb. 1687 [1687/8] at Amesbury, Essex Co., Massachusetts. He married Sarah Ring 6 Nov. 1212 at Amesbury. Sarah was born 7 Oct. 1691 at Amesbury, daughter of Robert and Ruth Ring. Samuel Jewell’s first cousin James Jewell (son of Joseph of Sudbury) was a settler of Winchester, New Hampshire, the supposed place of origin of the pioneer Moore family of Chelsea, Vermont, into which David Jewel (see below) married.
