Richard Stratton;

Born: 18 Nov 1627, Puddington, Bedfordshire, England Marriage: Susannah (Susan) about 1657 in Watertown, MA Died: 25 Jul 1658, Watertown, MA at age 30

Richard Stratton (1627-58) lived only long enough to sire a single son (and we know nothing more of him), but from him the line continues: Samuel (1658-1726), Enoch (1700-55), Samuel (1728-1810), and Ruth (1771-1807), who married Asa Goodrich.

As to Richard's son, Samuel Stratton (1658-1726), three months old at the time of his father's death, a little is said:

-His wife Mary Frye was possibly the daughter of John Frye of Andover, but no proof has been found John Frye,37, arrived in 1338 with "Mrs. Anne Frye, John Frye, Sarah Frye, and Benamin Frye", but no mention of a Mary, and no other evidence except the shortage of possible Frye candidates. -Married secondly Hannah Wheat
