"The firstborn son of Dawid and Sura was Samuel [Szmuel] Hirszenberg. He was born on 10 August 1865. In 1886, he did his compulsory military service. He married a Catholic-born Anna Maria Paulina Chrétien, born on 18 September 1872 in Paris, the daughter of Jean Paul and Anna Krystyna Brigl. Before the wedding, which took place in Munich on 16 December 1896, Samuel’s fiancée converted to Judaism and started using the Jewish name Dina."
