SARAH was the daughter of James Bostick and Comfort (Love) Bostick. She married first Wilson Baird in about 1804, in North Carolina. After Wilson's death in 1819, his brother, John Baird, traveled back from Tennessee to North Carolina, to marry Sarah and bring her home to Wilson County, Tennessee.
Sarah married second her brother-in-law, John Baird, in about 1823. When Sarah & John married, merging their two households, the children were all, of course, first cousins. Two of John's sons, Hardy and Wilson, would marry Sarah's two daughters, Nancy and Elizabeth.
John and Sarah moved to Gibson County, Tennessee, about 1836. Some of their respective children brought their own families and followed them there a few years later.
Sarah's death date was recorded in the Wilson Baird Family Bible--"Mother Sarah Baird died September 5, 1871, aged about 85 years."
