On October 15, 1647 Sarah signed a prenuptial agreement with Joseph Bixby. Bixby agreed that the apprenticeships of her sons would be approved by Mr. Nathaniel Rogers, by their grandfather [John] Wyatt, and by Ensign Howlet. Further, the land which Sarah expected to inherit from her mother in Assington, Suffolk was to remain under Sarah's control, and Bixby promised to give both of Sarah's son their inheritance from their father - £15 to the elder and £5 to the younger, as well as their father's books. Bixby promised to allow Sarah £5 to divide between her sons. The witnesses were John Rogers and Mary Rogers.

A month later Nathaniel Rogers and John Wyatt went to court, saying that Bixby had fled the jurisdiction of the court and not said when he would return. They claimed that his estate was "too weakened" to support the prenuptial agreement with Sarah. The court ordered Bixby's property to be attached. (Essex County Court 1:95). Bixby later returned.

On February 23, 1654 Sarah Bixby, late wife of Luke Heard confirmed a 1645 sale of a dwelling house in Salisbury. She was aged 84 at her death.

Sarah may have been married to Luke Heard who died in 1647. She then married Joseph Bixby.
