Find A Grave contributor Gene Zubrinsky adds

Find A Grave contributor Gene Zubrinsky adds: The published volume of Rehoboth vital records has widow Sarah (Redway) (Carpenter) Brooks's date of death as 8 January 1717/8 and describes her in that record as a "stranger" (non-inhabitant) (see James N. Arnold, Vital Record of Rehoboth, 1642–1896 [Providence, 1897], 804). That information, however, belongs to an adjacent entry; the original record gives her date of death as 15 July 1717 (Rehoboth Vital Records, 2:230 [FHL microfilm #562,558 (old loan copy; no longer cataloged), item 5]). Since the film is no longer in circulation (it probably also contains records recent enough to be protected by a Massachusetts privacy law), you can confirm the original record's contents by contacting the Rehoboth town clerk.
