Biography
Sarah Moss Charles 1st married John Geer and they, with John Charles and his sisters, all set sail for the New World on the same ship, the Winterhee. The Winterhee was wrecked and the survivors ended up in Barbados, later they continued they journey. John Geer was lost at sea during or before this event.[3] Window Sarah Moss shortly after arriving in New England entered her 2nd marriage with Rev. John Charles who was born 13 April 1608 - Sandford , Devon, England and died 15 September 1673 - Branford, New Haven County, Connecticut, The had at lease 8 known children together. After John Chales passing, Sarah 3rd married Martin Tichenor.
The wife of John Charles was probably a sister of John Moss, since he was called brother by John Moss when acting as his attorney. (New Haven Colony records, 1646, p. 298.) A Sarah Charles, perhaps wife of John Charles, united with the church at New Haven, Connecticut, in 1647.[14] John Charles was proprietor of Charlestown, Mass., 1636. Signed Fundamental Agreement 1639. Early settler, founder and patentee of New Haven, Conn.

There are numerous records that have her born in New Haven Connecticut, as New Haven Connecticut did not exist until after 1635, she could not have been born there. Also, numerous records exist for Sarah Mossborn in England. Knowing which of these records belongs to this woman is difficult.
