George Clapp and Sarah L. A. Brown were married in Moniteau County, Missouri, on 24 Dec 1855.

Mrs. Sarah A. Clapp, mother of Mrs. Wm. Pile and T. A. Clapp, died of paralysis at the home of her daughter east of the city, Saturday evening, at the age of sixty-three. The funeral was held yesterday at the residence, conducted by Dr. Gillette, and the remains were laid to rest in Prospect Hill cemetery.
