1712 Sarah Howland (born about 1645) died at Portsmouth, Rhode Island, on 2nd day, 8th month [October] 1712, aged about 67 years. [55] Records created at that time identify her as "widow of Robert Dennis of Portsmouth". A note in another hand adds: "Her maiden name was Howland. Sarah Howland of Duxbury married at the house of Joshua Coggeshall in Rhode Island to Robert... [56] Her will named son Robert Dennis and son-in-law George Lawton as executors. Sons Robert, John, and Joseph. Daughters Mary Lawton wife of George and Sarah Fish widow of Thomas. Grandchildren Ruth and John Lawton
