Jeanette told a story about her mother Sarah falling off her horse into the Greenbrier river when The family was moving west from Bath Co., reported by John Cogar. History really doesn't say much about Sarah's fall. It must of been a big deal for Jeanette to have mentioned it later. Some early Gregory researchers took it to mean that she drowned, but that isn't the case. It also led to confusion as to Col. Isaac's second wife.
