"Death of the Oldest Lady in Monroe"
Mrs. Sallie Heller died at the residence of Mr. John Smoyer in Smithfield township, near Experiment Mills, on Tuesday evening last, aged 94 years, 1 month and 9 days. She has been making her some with her son-in-law, Mr. Smoyer, for several years. Mrs. Heller was a daughter of Philip and Sarah Fetherman. She had five brothers and three sisters, all of whom are dead. She married Mr. Anthony Heller June 4th, 1816. Her husband died January 11th 1863.
They had nine children: Philip, Melchoir, Geo. F., Daniel F., Simpson, Rosanna, Catharine, Sarah, and Sybilla; five deceased. Melchoir, Geo. F., Catharine, and Sybilla survive her.
She had been confined to her bed since last July, was a member of the Lutheran church and was loved and respected by all who knew her. She had 58 grand children, 55 great grand children and 5 great-great-grand children. Her many virtues and memory will be treasured by all her acquaintances. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 o'clock, at the house of Mr. John H. Smoyer.
