Reported to be the daughter of John Leavitt (1608-1691) & Sarah Gilman (1622-1700), she married 1) Nehemiah Clapp (1646-1684) on 14 Apr 1678 in either Dorchester, Suffolk, MA or Hingham, Plymouth County, MA.

Issue: Edward (1678), Nehemiah (1678), Edward (1680), & Submit (1683).

She married 2) Samuel Howe on 18 Sep 1685 in Sudbury.

Issue: Elisha Howe (c. 1687), Daniel (1689), Nehemiah (c. 1693), Moses (1695), Ebenezer (c. 1697), & Micajah (1700).

Her will was dated 26 Mar 1726 with probate dates of 25 Apr & 6 May 1726.

She was married to Lt. Samuel HOWE in 1663 in Sudbury, Middlesex, MA.(209) (210)(211) (212) Children were: John HOWE, Mary HOWE, Samuel HOWE, Martha HOWE, Daniel HOWE, David HOWE, Hannah HOWE.

Dau. of John Bent & Martha Blanchard, she m. Samuel How(e) on 05 Jun 1663 in Sudbury (Sudbury Marriages; pg 169). She was also known as "Martha How." Her grave has not yet been found. In 1685 Samuel married Sarah Leavitt whose first husband was Nehemiah Clapp (1646-1684) m. 1678.
