Native of Utah, 96, Dies at Kamas

KAMAS, Summit County--Mrs. Sarah E. O'Driscoll, 96, widow of John O'Driscoll, died at the home of her son, Jesse O'Driscoll, at noon Saturday of causes incident to age.

Mrs. O'Driscoll sang in the early-day Salt Lake LDS tabernacle choir, was a charter member of the original DUP organization, a lifetime member of the Relief society, having served in the presidency of the organization in the Francis LDS ward. She had served as a register of vital statistics from Utah's statehood until five years ago.

She was born May 21, 1849, in Salt Lake City, adaughter of Alexander and Ellen Breakell Neibaur, pioneers of 1848. She lived in Salt Lake City until her marriage, Nov. 1, 1867, to Mr. O'Driscoll in the old Salt Lake LDS Endowment house. Since that timeshe had lived in Kamas. Her husband died 21 years ago.

She is survived by five of her 12 children, Leslie O'Driscoll, Price; Isaac and jesees O'Driscoll, Kamas; Mrs. Joseph E. Wilde, Coalville, and Mrs. J. W. Zabriskie, Salt Lake City; 38 grandchildren, 88 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Kamas LDS ward chapel by Stanley Best bishop. burial will be in the Kamas cemetery. Friends may call at Olpin mortuary in Heber City Monday and Tuesday and at the Jesse O'Driscoll home Tuesday evening and Wednesday until time of services.
