Sarah H. Jones was born on Sept. 13, 1830 in Bulloch County, Georgia, daughter of Basil Jones and Deborah (Bowen) Jones.

On November 2, 1848, she married Ezekial Parrish. The 8 children born into their Parrish family are William Bland (1853), Ann Cornelia (1855), Angelina Belzara (1857), Elizabeth J. (1861), Deborah Ann (1866), Penny E. (1870), John Bryant (1872) and Mary Emaline (1877) Parrish.

In 1880, Ezekiel moved to Berrien County, GA, bought a farm and settled there. Around 1890, he sold out and moved to Thomas County, GA.

On March 29, 1922, Sarah H. (Jones) Parrish, age 91, died in Berrien County, GA, with burial in Williams Cemetery at Five Forks, Barwick, Thomas County, Georgia.
