Disambiguation

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Scudder-48

There are likely two Sarah Scudders at this point. The original sources do not match the biography (deleted) or the data. There was likely a Sarah Scudder married to Jonas Scudder, but it is probably not the Sarah born to Jonathon Scudder and Sarah Brown Scudder as she would have been a nine years old at the time of the birth of her first child according to profile. Also, in Jonathon Scudder's will, he listed his daughter Sarah as non compos mentis--leaving her guardianship to his son if Sarah outlived her mother.[1] He died in 1690, this Sarah's first child was born that year, presumably after she was married. Am removing Jonathon and Sarah (Brown) Scudder as parents. Changing birth and death dates to uncertain, and making Thomas uncertain as well. 16 May 2019 Wendy Lester

One source [2] lists a marriage between a Jonas Platt and Sarah [Scudder] and the brackets mean the last name was not derived from a marriage record--it does not appear to be a maiden name, but neither is there a w to indicate widow. Meaning...unproven? Nothing much is heard of Sarah Brown Scudder (Sarah Scudder's mother) after Jonathon dies. She could have remarried to Platt.
