Biography
Sarah Lewis
High probability that this Sarah Lewis did not have children with Jonathan Sparrow
Sarah Lewis
Marriage 26 DEC 1663 to James Cobb
Marriage 23 NOV 1698 to Jonathan Sparrow
Death 11 FEB 1735 Barnstable, Barnstable, Massachusetts
Disputed Mother
Disputed mother: Great Migration Begins has her mother as Mary Doggett, not Sarah Jenkins.[1]
According to Robert Wakefield, F.A.S.G., the erroneous statement that George Lewis married to Sarah Jenkins in England is without foundation, and in addition, "statements by Deane should be used with great caution."[2] In fact, all the evidence supports Mary Doggett as the only wife of George Lewis.[2]
Origin
Sarah was born 2 February 1643/4 and baptized at Barnstable, Massachusetts, a daughter of George Lewis and Mary Doggett.[3][2]
Mentioned in her fathers will.[2]
Editing Note: At one point in the evolution of this profile, Sarah had the nickname of "Pandora". The reason for the nickname is uncertain, so it was removed from the name fields on the profile. (Please do not remove this comment.)

Plymouth Colony: Its History and People 1620-1691 Part Three: Biographical Sketches Biographical Sketches Freeman, Edmond xxx —William Ford first appears in Plymouth records on th e 1643 ATBA for Duxbury. Moore Families, pp. 264-75, give s an account of his life and his family. In 1671 he gave hi s age as sixty-seven, and thus was born ca. 1604. His wif e Anna, or Hannah, _____ died in 1684; Mrs. Barclay (NEHG R 119:23) thought Ford's wife might be Hannah Eames (Torre y suggests the daughter of Anthony Eames). His children, recorded a t Eastham, though the first three or four must have been bo rn at Duxbury, were William, Stephen, Rebecca, Mary, Ruth , Sarah, John, Isaac, Joseph, and Benjamin (PCR 8:28, 30; M D 5:23, 7:19).
