Enlisted as a Pvt., age 18 at Cropwell, AL, 10th Alabama Co F.
Engagements: Drainesville, VA 12/20/1862; Seige of Yorktown 4/18; Williamsburg, 5/5; Seven Pines, 6/1; Battle before Richmond, 6/27-30; 2nd Manassas, 8/30; Seige of Harper's Ferry, 9/13-15; Sharpsburg, 9/17; Fredericksburg, 12/13; Chancellorsville, 5/2; Salem Church, 5/3; Gettysburg, PA, 1st & 2nd day; Bristow Station, 10/14; Mine Run, 11/30; Battle of the Wilderness, 5/6; Spottsylvania CH, 5/12; Hanover Junction, 5/23; Atley's Station, 6/1; Seige of Turkey Ridge, 6/3-12; Wilcox Farm, 6/22/1864, where he was severely wounded.
Sgt Elias F Harrison was able to return home; died in 1870 and is buried in Boykin Truitt New Hope Cemetery, Eden, St Clair County, AL.
