Brief overview:
Shadrack (66), a community patroller, was shot and killed while chasing down criminals, on 4th September 2018, in Kanana Extension 4, on the East Rand.
“Apparently, he suspected certain men and gave chase and as he was running behind them, they shot him,” said Rabie Ridge SAPS corporate communications officer Captain Mofana Masela. He said Shadrack was rushed to Ethafeni Clinic in Tembisa where he was certified dead. “Our detective was called to the clinic."
“The man is well-known for his fighting spirit. He really was a crime buster. He has already helped the police to recover four firearms at Rabie Ridge and he was about to recover the fifth,” said Masela.
