About Shirley Rose Faerber
Shirley Rose Faerber, 74, of Uniontown, died Sunday, April 20, 2003, at Deaconess Medical Center in Spokane.
Shirley was born July 7, 1928, in Ferdinand to Fred and Rose Nau Kuther Riedinger. She spent her early years in Ferdinand and in 1937 the family moved to Clarkston.
Shirley attended Holy Family School in Clarkston and graduated from Clarkston High School in 1946.
She went to work as a bookkeeper at State Bank of Clarkston. Shirley married Thomas Faerber Oct. 24, 1948, in Clarkston, and the couple made Uniontown their home. Shirley worked as a bookkeeper at Farmers State Bank in Uniontown following their marriage.
She was a wonderful homemaker and mother and had many different enjoyments in her life. Among them was her love for collectibles and antiques, flowers, and gardening. Shirley also enjoyed reading and her interests ranged from history books to cookbooks.
She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and the Altar Society.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Thomas at the family home in Uniontown; two children, Melinda Faerber and fiance Ray McLean of Uniontown and Michael Faerber and his wife, Denise, of Uniontown; two brothers, Cliff Kuther of Clarkston and Chet Riedinger of Asotin; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Rich Kuther and one sister, Audrey Polumsky.
The vigil service with recitation of the rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Uniontown. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. The Rev. Victor Blazovich will be the celebrant. Arrangements are under the direction of Kimball Funeral Home.
