There is little to mention about Sigurd in the story, and probably he himself lived a little dramatic life, and with a father who had been involved in killing the saint king Olav, it was probably best not to attract too much attention.
The case literature mentions a man named Sigurd from Hålogland who at this time sailed several times to Iceland and elsewhere. Although this Sigurd is not explicitly mentioned as Sigurd Toresson, one can assume it is the same man. When he died is also unknown

History
Sigurd Toresson from Bjarkøy, born once around the year 1005, was after that we know the only son of Tore Hund, the mighty chief of Hålogaland, and his wife Ranveig. There is little to mention about Sigurd in the story, and probably he himself lived a little dramatic life, and with a father who had been involved in killing the saint king Olav, it was probably best not to attract too much attention. When he died is also unknown.
Sigurd Toresson was born into the most powerful chieftains in Hålogaland, and chiefs such as Tore Hund at Bjarkøy, Tore Hjort in Vågan, Torolv Kveldulvsson at Sandnes, Hårek at Tjøtta, Herlaug and Hrollaug in Namdalen, Olve Grjotgardsson at Egge and Håkon Grjotgardsson were in the time around the 11th century an economic strength and political power that made them independent of the chiefs in Western Norway. Trøndelag and Northern Norway (Hålogaland) complemented each other by the fact that grain from Inn-Trøndelag was exchanged for catch products from the coast in the north. In addition, the chiefs sailed south to the North Sea countries and brought home jewelery, weapons and finer goods. In addition, the chiefs of Hålogaland tied strategic alliances south through marriage.
Sigurd's uncle bore the same name, Sigurd Toresson from Trondenes, and was one of the great hollow-eye practitioners. He was married to Sigrid, sister of Erling Skjalgsson from Jæren. Snorre Sturlason says that Sigurd was a very rich and a highly honored man.
Sigurd's and Tore's sister was Sigrid Toresdatter who was married to Olve Grotgardson from Egge, and therefore lived in the Inn-Trondheimen. She was later given in marriage to Kalv Arnesson, who was also one of Tore Hund's allies in the fight against Olav Digre. Sigrid is a protagonist of Vera Henriksen's novel The Silver Hammer.

Sigurd himself married a peer woman from Iceland, Aud Snorresdatter. She was the daughter of Snorre Gode, a man with a position in Iceland, and who actually called Torgrim Torgrimsson, and is mentioned in Eyrbyggja saga (Sagaen about Øyrbyggjaene) and in Njåls saga. Sigurd met Aud in Norway, but perhaps he knew her before. Aud was first married to a Viga-Barde (Viga = Drap) from Iceland who went with Aud to Norway. After a fierce quarrel, Viga-Barde left Aud and Miklagard, went into the guard corps and was later killed in a battle.
With Aud, Sigurd got her daughter Ragnhild Sigurdsdatter who was strategically married to Jon Arnesson from Giske, son of Arne Arnesson, and he descended from Erling Skjalgsson at Sola and Astrid Tryggvesdatter, sister of Olav Tryggvason. Ragnhild and Jon got their son Vidkun Jonsson from Bjarkøy, who is mentioned several times in the king's sagas.
Snorre Sturlasson also mentions that Ragnhild and Jon got the children Sigurd Hund, Erling Jonsson and Jartrud Jonsdatter
