About Simon Samuel Forcheimer
His name on the birth certificate isn't clear. It says "loen" or something similar. The Mohel named him Simcha son of Nathan. Simcha was the Hebrew name for "Simon" so no doubt here.
The birth date on the birth certificate clearly shows 17.10.1826 and nothing else. The date on the gravestone is just wrong. The Jews in Germany used the Hebrew calendar so when they arrived to the US they had to calculate the Gregorian date and they were usually inaccurate.
