Name written in 1700s Hranice records as "Simon Joseph" (which at the time meant "Simon son of Joseph").

Simon lived in House 5, which is the same house in which Joseph Fogel (his apparent father) died.

Birth record of Rebeka's son, Jonas, lists his mother's name as "Reveka". Also, Rebeka died in House 5, which is the same house where Simon lived and she is an age that would work as his wife. However, it's also possible that Simon had a first wife, who was the mother of some of his children.
