Biographical Summary

"Sir Alexander Bannerman, Baronet [S. 1682], of Elsick, s. and h., suc. to the Baronetcy, 11 April 1711, and was, 26 March 1713, served heir gen. of his father, and heir spec, in Strachan, Findoun, etc. He m. Isabella, da. of Sir Donald Macdonald, 3d Baronet [S. 1625], of Slate, by Mary, da. of Robert (Douglas), 8th Earl of Morton [S.]. He d. Feb. 1742. His widow d. 13 June 1743."
