31 October 1654: Discharge and Assignation by Agnes Kennedy, daughter of Sir Alexander K. of Colzeane, and James Hammiltone, son of Archibald H. of Halcraig, her spouse, to John K. of Colzeane, brother of the said Agnes, acknowledging receipt of 10,300 merks Scots in return for assignation (with two reservations) of "bairn's part" and rights by legacy due to the said Agnes by decease of her said father and Agnes Kennedy, her mother. He acquired Culzean from his brother in 1622.92

    Sir Alexander Kennedy was the son of Sir Thomas Kennedy, Master of Cassillis and Elizabeth McGill.1 He married Agnes Kennedy, daughter of Thomas Kennedy.2 He died in September 1652.2

Sir Alexander Kennedy was invested as a Knight in 1632.2 He lived at Culzean, Ayrshire, Scotland.1
