Sir Alexander Stewart of Garlies ( d. 5 October 1596) was the son of Sir Alexander Stewart of Garlies and Catherine Herries. He married, firstly, Christian Douglas, daughter of Sir James Douglas of Drumlanrig.

He married, secondly, Lady Elizabeth Douglas, daughter of David Douglas, 7th Earl of Angus and Margaret Hamilton, after 1572.

He lived at Garlies, Scotland. He was invested as a Knight in 1590.
