William Stewart of Burray is the son of Sir Alexander Stewart of Garlies and Christian Douglas. He married Barbara Stewart, daughter of James Stewart of Burray.

He lived at Mains, Dunbartonshire, Scotland.

Went to Ireland. Built Ballydrain Co Antrim 1608. Killed 1641
